This is an update to the original Squidoo link juice test blogged on April 7, 2008. Please read through that if you missed it.
We added a few higher quality links to the Squidoo page and included a link from a HubPages info page over the last few weeks. Yahoo decided it liked the page enough to pass some juice but did not index or cache the page. Google still ignores the page entirely.
Google is going through some big changes recently and may just be slow to index, cache, and record backlinks, so I plan to wait a few more weeks before loading the page with a few dozen links as our final test.
We plan to write a few articles and get some inbound links from various websites on totally off topic pages to see if any kind of ranking can actually happen for that page using low competition keywords.
Finally, the most common practice used by top Squidoo lens authors is internally linking pages together from dozens and even hundreds of other lenses. Should be interesting to see if these pages rank on their own, with or without the Squidoo internal links.
UPDATE
Google did finally pass juice to the linked page and cached the page at the end of April. Interesting to note that the juice did not last long. I think possibly the odd ball anchor text attracted a quality rater or got filtered because the Google juice disappeared less than three weeks later. The link has been removed from the page although at the time of this update it was still cached

Hubpages link juice
Link juice hubpages comes from a lot of other links to hubpages. The same with squidoo, although with squidoo no link juice transfers off of it to Hubpages, for reasons I dont know why!
