Submitting to Directories

Submitting to the right directories is a good move. There are not thousands of them that are worth your time to submit to however.

A Directory that allows links using the same "keyword focused anchor text" from numerous domains will have their links devalued by Google. So will those with submission processes that accept "everybody".

Directory Submission Considerations
♦ Is the directory an authority
♦ Is the page you plan to place the link on indexed
♦ What is the quality of the other outbound links on the page
♦ What is the cache date on the page in the SERP's
