Quality of Links or Quantity

Link quality is everything. A large quantity of links in the wrong places, bad neighborhoods, will not help. Links on pages that are never indexed will not help.

FFA (free for all) sites and links on link pages where there is no co-citation are a waste of time.

While I am not a huge fan of reciprocal linking, I would never turn down a reciprocal from a high ranking site in my niche. The best links are :

♦ Links from authority sites
♦ Links from niche related sites on content pages
♦ Links with demand driven anchor text keyphrases
